Paddington Reservoir Gardens is an award-winning venue in the City of Sydney's east that has been completely transformed from its former life. In 2006 it was converted into a sunken garden and park known as the Paddington Reservoir Gardens or Walter Read Reserve.

From September to March each year ESLAC offers boys and girls, aged 4 to 17, the opportunity to learn, train and compete in a full range of athletic events. The Waverley Cliff Walk is a popular and unique attraction for its natural beauty and panoramic views out to the ocean.
An excellent pathway with breathtaking views along rocky coast. This walk is very popular at all times of the day but so worth it. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen. Dogs are allowed on leash.

Lyne Park really has it all! There is a huge enclosed playground with enough equipment and space for 0-10 year olds. There are benches and undercover tables in the playground. Playing fields and a basketball court are very popular on weekends. Two cafes, The Rose Bay Diner is near the ferry wharf and Sugar and Spoon is near the tennis courts. Sugar and Spoon has a fantastic menu for big and little kids. Lots of room for prams too.
Rushcutters Bay Park is a fantastic place for big and little kids. The playground is enclosed and suitable for 1 to 5 year old. The paths are great for the bigger kids to skate and scoot. There is a kiosk with plenty of outdoor seating and lots of shady trees to picnic under. A playing field for bigger kids to kicj a footy around and great water views.
Little Bay Beach is one of Sydney's undiscovered jewels. A 'secret' beach popular with locals, it's well protected from large coastal swells making it perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Its golden sands are popular with families while the rock ledges to the north and south are well-known, but sometimes dangerous, fishing spots.

Shark Beach is a lovely little beach in Nielsen Park, perfectly positioned with sublime views, a harbourside café and three great picnic areas.
A really lovely picnic location with lawns and shade. Divided by Tamarama Marine Drive: West section is a large open area with a shady gully; the smaller Eastern section contains toilets, 'Tama' kiosk, playground, BBQ facilities.
Coogee Beach is another famous beautiful eastern suburbs beach with so much to do for the whole family.
This playground is enclosed within the Holdsworth Community Centre and is available for public use at times when the centre is closed.
The famous Bondi Beach has something for all ages from the glorious white sand, to the toddlers' pool and Grassy Knoll at the North end, Icebergs at the South end and the Pavilion and playground in the middle. Nothing says summer more that Bondi Beach!

This peaceful park has no playground facilities. It is primarily used as a pedestrian throughfare but is a nice place to escape to with a good book in tow.

Maroubra Beach is popular with visitors given its easy access and large kilometre-long expanse of sand.
This harbourside tidal enclosure (previously known as Redleaf Pool - Council resolved to rename Redleaf Pool to Murray Rose Pool in honour of Olympic swimmer Murray Rose in August 2012.) is popular with all age groups.
McKell Park is a great place for a picnic and a discovery adventure with little ones or a mother's group meet up with babies. Its also a great place for children's parties as there are toilets in the park and you can hire Canonbury Cottage from Woollahra Council. There are restrictions on things like jumping castles etc and dogs are not allowed.

Located on Avoca Street Randwick, this grassed reserve includes a playground. It's located in a nice shady part of the street with plenty of trees.
The skate park comprises a large swimming pool style bowl with two different depths (a deep end and a shallow end), half pipes and rails. The Maroubra Skate Park is very popular and is normally busy during the day with skaters and bikers showing off their stuff.

Nagle Park has facilities for organised sports, including rugby union, cricket, baseball and school sports. There are large shade trees and screen plantings around the edge of the park. The park is also used for walking and dog exercises, and there is a playground on site.
